Privacy Policy

Last updated

Ocean Yang Atelier respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit oceanyangatelier.com, contact us, or book a class, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Ocean Yang Atelier (Yang Yang), 304a Route de Thionville, L-5884 Howald, Luxembourg, VAT LU 30768007. For any privacy question or request, email info@oceanyangatelier.com or call +352 621383247.

What we collect and why

We only collect the data we need to answer you and to run our classes:

  • Contact form and emails: your name, email address, chosen topic and message. We use them to reply to your enquiry and, if you enrol, to organise your classes. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
  • Class bookings: bookings are made through Ubindi, an external booking platform shown on our booking page. Ubindi processes the details you enter there under its own privacy policy; we receive the booking information needed to run the class.
  • Students and families: for enrolled students we keep the contact details and class information needed to organise lessons, packages and payments. Details about children are provided by a parent or guardian.
  • Website visits: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages to deliver the site securely. We also use privacy-friendly, cookie-free audience and performance measurement that reports aggregated statistics only.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and our own audience measurement works without cookies. Two pages embed third-party services that may set their own cookies when they load: the Google Maps map on the contact page and the Ubindi booking calendar on the booking page. Links to Facebook, Instagram and Google open those services, which apply their own policies.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, and only as far as needed:

  • Vercel Inc. — website hosting, cookie-free analytics and performance monitoring.
  • Resend — delivery of contact-form messages to our inbox.
  • Ubindi — online class booking.
  • Google — the embedded map on the contact page.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to answer them and follow up. Student records are kept for the duration of the enrolment and afterwards only as long as required by Luxembourg accounting and tax law. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security purposes.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@oceanyangatelier.com; we answer within one month.

If you believe your data is not handled correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg data protection authority, the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), at cnpd.public.lu.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or providers change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
